Caltech's entrepreneurial community is growing exponentially thanks to broad efforts that empower students' innovative ideas.
A gift from Idealab co-founders Bill Gross (BS '81) and Marcia Goodstein is funding a trio of entrepreneurship initiatives for Caltech undergraduates including scholarships, paid internships, and the Bill Gross Business Plan Competition.
"There are Caltech students in their dorms right now who are daydreaming about what they discovered in the lab," says Gross. "They are asking themselves, ‘How does what I learn benefit society?' Those are the students this gift was aimed to help."
