The California Institute of Technology benefits daily from the generosity of its alumni and friends. Gifts, large and small, are used in a multitude of ways to provide the finest facilities and most advanced opportunities for its faculty and students. The Institute's history has shown that giving extraordinarily talented people the resources they need to pursue their ideas leads to extraordinary achievement.

The Torchbearers of Caltech have made a commitment to support the Institute through bequests or deferred gifts. Membership is extended to individuals who have provided for Caltech in their wills or living trusts, designated Caltech as a beneficiary of life insurance, or completed deferred gifts for the benefit of the Institute. Deferred gifts include charitable trusts, the Caltech Pooled Income Funds, Caltech Charitable Gift Annuities, a remainder interest in a residence, or some similar arrangement.
