BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Caltech Corporate Affiliates Program is an excellent way for your corporation to engage with the entire Caltech community and complement any existing relationships you may already have with individual faculty members. All Caltech Corporate Affiliates receive personal attention from a Corporate Relations liaison who helps your company fully utilize your CCAP membership by developing a customized action plan to match your company's corporate interests to the remarkable faculty, resources, and initiatives within the Caltech community.

Access to Caltech Faculty

Faculty Meetings at Caltech

Whether focused on a specific issue or prompted by a broader desire to explore a faculty member's research, each faculty meeting can open doors to in-depth relationships and collaborations.

Faculty Visits to Company

When available, Caltech faculty and researchers visit member companies to present seminars and to engage in personal and group discussion of matters of mutual interest.

Research Roundtables with Faculty

Arranged for a group of your senior corporate staff on an annual basis, the Roundtable gives your staff the opportunity to dialogue with Caltech researchers about emerging technologies and trends. Companies find this useful for strategic planning.

Corporate Networking Events

CCAP members receive invitations to Caltech-selected corporate networking events such as:

  • VIP seating for evening public lectures
  • Industrial Relations Executive Forum
  • Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forums
  • Caltech Management Association talks

    Priority Campus Recruiting

Each year more than 600 eminently well-trained graduates and post-doctoral students participate in on-campus recruiting activities. CCAP members are given priority registration at recruiting events. In conjunction with campus recruitment, you may also schedule a research visit.

    Technical Research Service

Employees of member companies may call their Corporate Relations liaison for assistance with particular technical questions. Your Officer will attempt to locate, in a timely fashion, faculty or research staff who can answer your questions.

Invitations to Caltech Conferences and Seminars

CCAP members are invited to attend scientific and engineering research conferences and seminars targeting specific opportunities with faculty, students, and other CCAP members such as:

    • Beckman Institute Seminars
    • JPL von Kármán Lecture Series
    • Annual Research Center conferences, including those held by:
      The Kavli Nanoscience Institute
The Center for Science and Engineering of Materials
The Center for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering
      Information Science and Technology
The Lee Center for Advanced Networking
The Materials and Process Simulation Center

    Athenaeum Privileges

Corporate Affiliates are invited to join Caltech's prestigious, award-winning faculty club, The Athenaeum. Depending on the CCAP membership level, non-transferable memberships may be designated to employees of the company's choice. Athenaeum members may utilize more than 100 clubs that belong to the Association of College and University Clubs, as well as with nine other private clubs with which The Athenaeum has reciprocity.

    Caltech Publications

CCAP members receive complimentary subscriptions to Engineering & Science, a quarterly magazine presenting in-depth features about Caltech faculty and research activities at the Institute, and other targeted campus publications.

    Annual Activity Report

Your Corporate Relations liaison prepares a summarized, annual activity report highlighting your campus involvement throughout the previous year, including information about your recruiting activities, research collaborations, and participation in visits and events.
